What I've been up to

Riley's primary teacher just had a baby this week (named Logan, if you didn't guess), so I made this fluffy towel (for post-bath drying and lotioning) that I saw on another blog. Also made an I-spy blanket for Carson. Today I had a wonderful treat of chocolate covered cinnamon bears. Yummy and easy to re-create. Will try on Monday...

Captain Underpants birthday

For E and M's combined birthday, we had a Captain Underpants Birthday Party with such games as "The underwear toss", "Cafeteria sign", "George and Harold's comics", and "Diapers of doom". Classy, I know. What made it even better was the 1 hr of sleep Kiechel and I got the night before due to the flu fairy visiting our house. Baths and laundry at 1 and 3 a.m. All better now, phew!

Florida

We just got back from 4 days in FL (yes, freakishly cold FL) where each of the 7 people in our family competed in a race. From Kiechel in a 1/2 marathon, me in a 5-k, Ethan in a 1-mile, Riley a 400m, Mason a 200m, Carson a 100m, and Gentry a diaper dash, we all had a great time (though Gentry was the only one to actually win her race). Next time, though, I think I'll stay in WY, where it is warm!

Baby Brand

This is a fun little project I've been kicking around for awhile now. Initially I was thinking real brands on leather and wood, but as I do not have the necessary equipment in Cheyenne, I did these out of fabric for Gentry and my nephew. D/S is the brand for Lyman Ranch Company.

Christmas Dollhouse Pillow

Here is a variation I made on the dollhouse pillow, as suggested by mom. I love the stockings by the fireplace.
